It is clear all the way through, so every tool mark stays visible for the life of the piece. There is nowhere to hide a bad cut, and no finish that finds one later.

Nine a month is not scarcity. It is how long one block takes to become something you can wear.

Atelier

    Choose

    Rough crystal arrives from Brazil in blocks. Most are refused. What we keep has no cloud running through the middle.

  2. 02

    Cut

    The block is sawn, cored and ground down wet. Crystal splits if it warms, so the whole cut happens under water.

  3. 03

    Set

    Coloured stones go into a gold rail cut to the millimetre, one at a time. This is the day that decides the piece.

  4. 04

    Give

    Fitted in the salon, or sent with a measurement card. Reset free, for as long as you own it.

Clear is notthe absenceof colour.

Rock crystal has no colour of its own, so it takes whatever is nearby — the yellow of a sleeve, the red of a stone set two centimetres away. It is the only material in the house that changes with whoever wears it.

Fitting

By appointment at the salon, or a measurement card by post. Twenty minutes either way.

Prescription

Single vision or progressive, cut to the frame. Send your script, we do the rest.

Repair

A lost stone is reset free, for life. Crystal is re-polished on request.
